Maya Modeling toolset update 2 - new quad tools, edge edit tools and more..

 

Just want to share a development update on the modeling toolset i have been working on.
New tools: Quad diamond connect, Quad Split End, Average Planar, Space loop, Straighten loop and Select similar mesh.

My Plan is to release this in the new year

(MAYA)Modeling ToolSet Development Update

In This Update, I will be demonstrating the new selection modes and Quad Connect tools. This tool is still in development, I will release it as soon as its stable enough.
 
 -----New Selection Modes ---- 
 
Multiple EdgeBounds -- it will auto select Face section inbetween 2 Edge Bounds 
Extend To Hard Edge -- it will Grow the faces selection up to the hard edges.
 
-----Quad Tools -----
 
Quad Corner Connect -- does a corner connect on edge rings. will also allow users to create a quad corner on ngon faces. 
Quad Vertex Extrude -- Extrudes a face from a border vertex.
Quad End Connect -- creates a quad end connection on faces with 2 edges leading up to it. 
Quad Loop Connect -- creates edge splits on all faceloops

Update to Quad primitives script - polyGable and polyOblong

For those of you who are not familar. this is tool that allows user to create Quad based Primitives( such as quad cylinders and quad spheres..) interactively that does not exist in base Maya. The nice thing about these primitives is that they are tweakable after creation.
